Renewed Accreditation with VTCT Guidelines
This course delivers what the objectives outline and has good earning opportunities for the intended audience. The course material has been written in a professional manner, and the material is well detailed, clear and precise, ensuring students gain a clear understanding of the subject. We can only assess the value of the delivery of learning taking place and not the trainee’s practical competencies or their ability in using any equipment during or post the training event.
VTCT (Vocational Training Charitable Trust) accreditation ensures that our courses meet the highest standards of vocational excellence. VTCT qualifications are formal, regulated, and internationally recognized, providing comprehensive training that covers both theoretical knowledge and practical assessments. These qualifications are essential for starting or advancing a career in the beauty and aesthetics industry, equipping practitioners with the skills necessary to work in various settings and obtain necessary local authority licenses and salon insurance.
The VTCT accreditation aligns with the UK government’s approach to enhancing standards and safety in the aesthetics industry, particularly in light of recent legislative developments. The Health and Care Act 2022 provides the basis for a new licensing system for non-surgical cosmetic procedures, emphasizing the importance of proper qualification from accredited bodies like VTCT. VTCT qualifications adhere to the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and are recognized by leading professional associations, ensuring that practitioners are appropriately qualified for the treatments they offer.
Holding a VTCT qualification is intended to enhance competence and prove attendance, not replace primary qualifications, which should be from an accredited body. VTCT qualifications may be necessary to obtain insurance cover, especially in a more regulated environment. Course materials for invasive treatments should refer to the regulatory framework approved by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA), which authorizes the Cosmetic Practice Standards Authority (CPSA), working alongside The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) to publish the JCCP/CPSA Code of Practice.
